DQueen Roofing: Doug & Debbie’s Mission to Put Quality and Heart Back Into Roofing
For Doug and Debbie, roofing was never just a business plan, it was a natural continuation of a life spent building, serving and helping others. The husband-and-wife team behind DQueen Roofing didn’t set out to create a flashy company. They simply wanted to do things the right way—something they felt was missing in the industry.
Doug grew up in the roofing world. Working on job sites with his family’s roofing business gave him a deep understanding of the trade and a firsthand look at what makes a job site run smoothly. Over time, he and Debbie found themselves more and more involved, managing crews, coordinating projects and earning the trust of contractors and homeowners alike.
It was that hands-on experience, paired with a shared work ethic, that led them to start DQueen Roofing, named after the first initials of Doug and Debbie. Their goal was clear: put quality back into roofing, treat every customer with respect and leave each job knowing it was done right.

They’ve built a reputation by showing up on time, prepared and ready to work. Doug’s time in construction spans nearly his entire life. That same discipline carried over into his service as a firefighter in Lincoln and Catawba Counties and later in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. Those experiences shaped his sense of responsibility and follow-through traits he brings to every roofing project today.
Together, Doug and Debbie lead a team that reflects their values. Whether it’s shingles, flat roofs, metal, siding, gutters or replacement windows, they bring attention to detail and an emphasis on getting it right the first time. And while the company is based in Lincolnton, they’ve been known to travel up to 300 miles to serve customers who ask for them by name.
One thing that stands out about DQueen Roofing is how accessible they are. There’s always a local supervisor on-site, someone who can listen and take action if something needs attention. And if an issue ever comes up, Doug doesn’t wait, he goes back, sees the problem for himself and fixes it, if it’s on them, without question or cost.
Customers often mention the respect shown to them, the clean yards left behind and the comfort of knowing they weren’t just another number. “We try to put ourselves in their shoes,” Doug said. “It’s their home. We don’t forget that.”
Their work speaks for itself but it’s the way they treat people that has earned them a strong reputation throughout the region. They’re not just contractors—they’re neighbors who care.
